Table runner arrived ...

Some weeks ago I got left over pieces from a friend to make a table runner matching the new upholstery of the chairs. First we thought about making a double sided one but when I got the fabric I knew it would  be much to thick for my sewing machine. So I decided to make two without asking. This was the first one.

So liebes Christkind!

She wanted to be surprised so one day I asked the husband what he thinks about it. His answer was just "the geometric pattern matches the style in the living room" and you can be sure this was not much help. She did not know that I made two of them and he did neither. Yesterday she got the parcel and because I am a bit unorganized (ok, the kids stole my sellotape so I had to improve) I wrote her a letter:
Dear Christkind, your parcel is on the way and hopefully you hold it in your hands soon. Here is how to unpack it: take the card and don't read it. Take the table runner out, have a look at it and love it. Now you can read the card. After you can remove the paper and have an other close look. When you finished adoring your new table clothes you will find a "lovely" packed parcel. This one put under the tree and wait until Christmas Eve. I hope you love your table runners and you are not to angry that I forgot to sent some Cadbury. :( Merry Christmas!
So this is the second one.

Both table runners are more than 2m long and about 32cm wide. One has a light grey back and the other got charcoal. The binding is a real dark grey. I really hope she loves them and what she will find in the little parcel. I used all the fabrics so no chance to redo an other one!
