Christmas ...

Eigentlich ist es ja noch viel zu frueh fuer Weihnachten, aber in den Geschaeften stapeln sich schon die Sterne und Lichter, Kugeln und auch Lebkuchen sind schon in den Regalen zu finden. Ich glaub, das ist das erste mal, dass ich an meinem Geburtstag Christstollen essen konnte - was ich nicht tat, denn den gibt es nur zu Weihnachten! "Listen to the Birds Sing" hat ein creative Christmas gestartet und da sind so herzige Ideen zu finden, dass ich das gleich mal weitersagen muss. Hier wuerde man sagen "so cute!",  "Absolutly gorgeous!"
Actually it is much to early to start Christmas in any way but in all the shops the stars and lights, Christmas balls and gingerbread can be found in the shelves. I think I could never eat Christmas cake on my birthday before - what I did not do because it is reserved for Christmas! Listen to the birds sing started a creative Christmas and she shows so lovely things that I have to share it. Absolutely gorgeous!

Natuerlich wird auch hier schon an Weihnachtsideen gewerkelt, aber mehr auf dem Papier und eigentlich ist es noch immer nur ein Brainstorming. Kein Wunder, hier sind noch die Kuerbisse und Feldermaeuse am Werk und eine grosse Hexe haengt an der Eingangstuere. Doch dank des tollen irischem Wetter - puenktlich zum Rugby am Samstag morgen hat es geregnet und passend zum Schachturnier am Nachmittag gab es Sonnenschein - konnte ich im Auto an meinen Socken arbeiten.
Of course I started to think about Christmas but actually I am more collecting ideas and having a brainstorming  in my "crafting diary". It is hard to think about Christmas when the pumpkin in the kitchen is waiting for it's scary face, bats flying on the window and a big witch welcomes you on our front door. But thanks to the lovely Irish weather - Saturday morning I was sitting in the car listening to the rain when the kids were playing rugby and in the afternoon at the chess tournament the sun was shining  - I had time to finish my socks.

Na gut, fuer meine Fuesse sind sie zu klein, aber immerhin hat nun Mini warme Fuesse. Auch gut! Vielleicht im naechsten Anlauf auch wenn mir das Sockenstricken so ueberhaupt nicht liegt und eigentlich gar keinen Spass macht. Aber stricken ist lustig und kalt ist es hier auch schon, also hab ich angefangen Handschuhe fuer mich zu stricken ... ich bin mal gespannt!
Ok, they are to small for my feet but at least my little one has warm feet now. Good! Maybe I start again but it looks more like I don't like knitting socks and it is not really fun even if I love knitting. So I started to make an other pair of gloves because it started getting cold!

Ein perfektes Muster! Irgendwie macht es Spass und geht schnell. Allerdings hab ich gestern eine Masche mal kurzzeitig verloren, was den Lerneffekt hatte: niemals bei diesem Muster eine Masche verlieren, denn nach dem Auftrennen die Maschen wieder auf die Nadel zu bringen ist bei dem Muster eine Kunst. Meine Strickkunst hat auf jeden Fall dafuer nicht gereicht und so wuerde gestern viel mehr aufgetrennt als gedacht. Jetzt pass ich aber bestens auf meine 56 Maschen auf.
A perfect pattern! It makes fun and it is fast. Just losing a loop is horrible and it happened yesterday. I could not get the others back on the needle so I had to start it almost all over again. So this time I really take care of my 56 loops!
