Multicultural Day

Heute ist in der Schule der Internationale Tag. Hier koennen alle Kinder ihr Land vorstellen. Hmmm! Wie stellt man Oesterreich vor? Sound of Music?
Today is multicultural day in school. Every child is allowed to bring stuff from their country and present it to the irish kids. Hmmm! How do you present Austria? Sound of Music?


Na gut, ich geb's ja zu. Die DVD ist gestern schon in die Schule gebracht worden und bei den Senior Infants wurden Ausschnitte angeschaut. Auch Mozart haben sie gehoert und Reinhards Fendrich "I am from Austria" durfte nicht fehlen. Es hat zwar keiner was verstanden bis auf die Zeile "I am from Austria" aber ich glaub das koennen sie nun alle singen *gg*
Ok, I admit is. The middle one brought the DVD to school yesterday and the senior infant watched some parts. She also took a CD of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and they listened to Reihnard Fendrich "I am from Austria". I think no one understood any word exept the line "I am from Austria" and they can sing it now *gg*

Aufgeregt waren die beiden! Und wie :) Die Vorbereitungen haben aber auch ein wenig Spass gemacht und die Eltern waren auch sehr erfreut, Midi mit der tollen Frisur zu sehen. Leider hat sie kein Dirndl, aber fuer das naechste Jahr werden wir das noch aendern!
They were so excited! Preparing was fun and the parents we met on the way to school liked Midis hair. I was so sorry, that I had no Dirndl for her but for the next year we are going to change that! 

Und dann waren noch ganz viele andere Laender vertreten: Mexiko, USA, Schweden, Kroatien, Malysien, Sudan, Nigeria,.... Ich kann sie gar nicht mehr alle aufzahlen, aber ein paar Bilder kann ich euch noch zeigen!

Und irgendwann war es dann doch an der Zeit nach Hause zu gehn!
And then it was time to go home!
